Mr. James Meredith, 76, was denied entry to the University of Mississippi 3 times before the President of the United States orded that they grant him entry. In doing so, he went against all that the whites had done to prevent blacks from luxuries, and became the first ever black to get acceptance into a completely white school, and that too in one of the most racist states in the country. His accomplishments changed the lives of many blacks that were previously denied proper eduaction.
